Slitting Lines
The slitting of ferrous and non ferrous strip has been around since the early 20th century and as we are now well into the 21st century there has been little improvement in slitting lines which run at efficiencies of 20-25% mainly due to unscheduled stoppage due to lack of hands on experience by design engineers. Steel strip up to two meters wide and 12 mm thick can be split into multiple lengths and recoiled on a Bronx Slitting line. Features including automatic coil loading and unloading, automatic strip feeding and quick-change slitter head interchange ensures high productivity and precision operation. Optional equipment includes in-line edge trimming and cut-to-length shears.
